For children who have difficulty sleeping, it may be effective to use a sleeping bag on top of the bed, if your child seeks pressure, is gravitationally insecure (fearful of heights or movement equipment), and tends to like to cuddle or need tight hugs.
- Use a sleeping bag (on top of the bed) – this gives the child a smaller space providing more proprioceptive-tactile input that may be comforting. A child may have a favorite cuddle toy to bring in there with him/her – only use ***If there is no risk of suffocation.
