Antonia Llull, MOT, OTR/L

Antonia “Tonina” Llull is the Founder of MPowerMe, LLC and mpowermetoys.com.

Tonina received her Master of Occupational Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in February 1998, graduating with high honors. Since then, she has cultivated her clinical expertise in the area of pediatric occupational therapy. She established A.LL Therapy Connection, Inc. in 2001; co-founded Maitland Academy, LLC in 2006; served as the Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine Supervisor at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Weill Cornell in 2016 and 2017; and is the President of Dream Big, a charitable organization, since 2011.

Tonina continues to work with families and treat children, as well as young adults, while building educational programming for families and professionals. She also provides consultation services in a variety of settings.  Founding MPowerMe, LLC culminates her clinical experiences and her love for discovering, sharing, and collaborating with her community to foster growth and creativity in children of all ages and skill levels.

Tonina wants to continue to share and learn about the use of toys, games, literature, and sensory accessories to build children’s social skills, physical performance, ability to respond adaptively to their environment, and foster their continued journey as life-long learners. Yessica Quiros, M.A., CCC-SLP

Yessica Quiros has been a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist in the state of Florida for over 20 years. She is fluent in English and Spanish. As a bilingual speech-language pathologist, Yessica, specializes in communication disorders in children of all ages. She has worked in outpatient clinics, home-based and school setting. Yessica, does workshops and parent training on the use of therapeutic apps on mobile devices such as iPad and iTouch.

Yessica, is an avid toy and game analyst, as they are her everyday tools to foster communication, socialization, and play skills.

Yvonne C. Perez, M.A., CCC/SLP

Yvonne C. Perez is a Nationally Certified American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and State of Florida licensed Speech Language Pathologist. Yvonne was awarded her Bachelor in Science in Health Administration in 1996. After working with underprivileged children who had been removed from their home in Minneapolis’ St. Joseph’s Home for Children, she realized she wanted to make a bigger impact on children’s lives and returned to the University of Central Florida where she was awarded her Bachelor of Science in 1999 and Master of Arts in Communication Disorders in 2001. Yvonne began her career in private practice in 2001 working with children and young adults of various ages. Yvonne’s clinical specialties include Oral Motor /feeding difficulties, articulation and language impairments. She works with children with varying exceptionalities including children with Autism, Apraxia, Down’s syndrome, Neurological Disorders, Developmental Disorders, Articulation Disorders, Auditory Processing Disorders, and Early Intervention for Speech and Language delays.

 

Yvonne, who is bilingual in English and Spanish, resides in Orlando with her husband and has three beautiful boys. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, being her sons’ biggest fan at their soccer games. The therapeutic use of toys and games is essential to her clinical practice and her knowledge of how toys and games impact development gives her a keen eye for practical, fun, and creative toys/games for all ages.

Johanna Wright, OTR/L

Johanna is a native of Florida. She decided to go across the country to complete her studies at Loma Linda University where she received her degree in Occupational Therapy. She returned to the Greater Orlando area to specialize in the area of pediatrics over the past 16 years.  She started her career working in a specialized education program for profoundly, physically disabled children and then shifted her focus to working with children with sensory integrative dysfunction, autism and related disabilities, Down Syndrome, and learning disabilities. She and her husband also dedicated their home to foster children, and now their family has grown to include four thriving children, ages 14, 13 and two who are 3 years old.

As an occupational therapist and mother, she has utilized the vast assortment of toys, games, gadgets, and accessories available to maximize learning, physical-social-emotional development. She is excited to share her experience through this platform and gain information from its members

Stephanie Cameron, MOT, OTR/L

Stephanie is a nationally registered and State of Florida Licensed Occupational Therapist. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in health science and a Master’s of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Florida.  She began working in the pediatric outpatient setting immediately following graduation and has been doing so for four years.  Stephanie currently resides in Orlando, Florida with her puppy, Brady.  She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and enjoys fitness activities.

The therapeutic and developmental use of toys and games is a integral part of Stephanie’s treatment sessions, as they facilitate appropriately play skills, fine motor skills, problem solving and socialization. She is excited to share her experiences with toys and games through this panel.
