The Essentials
This relay game is fun, physical, and engagingly competitive. Players are the pancake builders, taking orders from their hungry customers. They compete to be the first to build the customers pancake stack, exactly as indicated on the “order card”. Great addition to creative relay games. The first player (or team) to complete the order wins!
Each “team” can consistent of 1 to 6 people (each order contains 5 pancake flavors and a pad of butter). You place the pancakes and butter in one location and the plate(s) in another location (suggested distance is 15 feet). Each player must use the spatula to pick up and stack the pancake(s) in order, without dropping them. The game includes 2 spatulas, 5 pancake flavors (2 sets), 2 pads of butter, 10 order cards, 2 plates, and a griddle game board.
Build early math skills, motor planning, sequencing, dexterity, motor control, speed-precision, balance, coordination, and gross motor skills. Encourages active play with peers, younger sibling, and parents — making it an excellent addition to your Home Program.
Fun Factor
This game is active and lively! Kids enjoy playing with peers and competing with their therapists. Easily graded to provide the “just right” challenge and facilitate targeted skills — so the kids have fun and often ask to play it again in their session.
Kid consultants, parents, and the Panel of Experts give this game 2 thumbs up! High marks for repeat play and healthy physical activity while building skills.
